Moving from high school to university, transferring from another program or institution can be a big transition, but we’re here to help. We have a team of students, staff and faculty here to welcome you to our KINmunity and introduce you to a variety of different programs, services and events so that you can succeed academically and make the most out of your time at UBC KIN.
Your First Step: Orientations
This year, join us for a multi-day orientation designed to introduce you to the University, your faculty, and new friends.
Whether you’re an international or domestic student, whether you plan to live on or off campus, Jump Start is for you!
The first day of classes is replaced with Imagine UBC. The entire UBC community comes together to welcome new students and celebrate the beginning of the new academic year.
You’ll have a chance to make friends and meet our Director, professors, and senior students from our School.
What’s Next: Transition to Life in UBC KIN
The Kinesiology Transition Program (KTP) provides programming and support for new students to ensure a successful and supportive transition into the Kinesiology community. The KTP is focused on helping new-to-UBC Kinesiology students feel at home in the School, connected with peers, and equipped with the necessary resources and information to make the most of the UBC KIN experience.
