Kinesiology Mentorship Program

See video

The UBC School of Kinesiology Mentorship Program (formerly Human Kinetics) began in 2009 with a small group of dedicated Alumni coming back to donate their time, talent and experience with current senior students in the Kinesiology Program.

The KIN Mentorship Program matches senior KIN students (3rd and 4th year) with a KIN alumni mentor who is a working professional and graduated from the School previously. Industry mentors can assist students with career goal setting, professional development, networking skills and how to successfully transition from university and into the professional working world beyond their B.Kin. This mentoring relationship is developed over the course of the academic school year (approximately running October – April).

What is Required?

Your mentoring relationship is what you make it!  Whether you meet over coffee or bring your mentee on site, it is up to you to make the best of your relationship.  Throughout the term however, we will provide events that you and your mentee can attend.  We will also alwasy be able to provide support and resources.  The only thing we do ask is a minimum time commitement which includes the following:
