Job description
Assist in the implementation and development of UBC Recreation spring/summer programming including:
– Sourcing suppliers & preparing timelines
– Developing key operational program details
– Updating website and registration related systems
– Communicating with participantsWork as a member of the leadership team for the 7th Annual UBC Staff and Faculty Sports Day (Friday May 5, 2017):
– Attend regular meetings and contribute to development
– Sourcing suppliers & developing programming and competition/participation structure
– Developing station activities and rule sets
– Assisting with participant communication, exploring partnerships and contributing to marketing and promotional efforts

Other duties as required.
Education and Experience

– Current UBC student or recent graduate (graduated in Fall 2016 term).
– Previous recreational programming or event management experience

– Enthusiastic, self starter, organized and responsible
– Ability to work both in a team and independently
– CLASS registration system knowledge an asset
– Proven ability to learn quickly
– Writing, editing, communication and project management skills
– Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification & Valid Class 5 Driver’s License are assets.
Wage: $11.25/hour
