The School of Kinesiology is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an Interdisciplinary Qualitative Research Day on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
The goal of the research day is to bring together researchers from across the School of Kinesiology to share and discuss research incorporating qualitative methods. The day will feature two keynote addresses given by Dr. Cassandra Phoenix and Dr. Brett Smith, respectively. Dr. Cassandra Phoenix is Senior Lecturer in Qualitative Health Research at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health at the University of Exeter, UK. Dr. Smith is a Reader in Qualitative Health Research at the School of Sport, Exercise, and Health Sciences at Loughborough University, UK, and a member of the Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport.
As well as our guest speakers, the day will include opportunities for graduate students to present their own qualitative research. As such, we invite proposals of completed works or works in progress. Abstracts should be 250 words or less, and include a title and author names. The deadline for abstract submissions is Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 at 11:59pm. Please submit your abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, students and faculty who would like to attend the event but not present are also asked to RSVP by April 2nd so that we can begin planning in terms of space and catering.
We look forward to seeing you on June 9th!
