Job description
People with disabilities have many skills to share with the world but in many cases need someone’s assistance to be realized. The ConnecTra Society is a non-profit organization that is seeking volunteers to mentor people with physical disabilities. The position involves working with ConnecTra staff and meeting one-on-one to help them determine their goals and how to achieve them. This can include employment, volunteering, recreation or increased social engagement. Volunteers need to assume a ½ day a week for an 8 month commitment with experience in business, government, or non-profit sector. If you would like to mentor a person with a disability, share your knowledge, and help others reach their goals, improve your community, then ConnecTra is looking for you.
Hours/time commitment
Up to 4 hrs/ week for 8 months
