Join the Professional Development talk – Research Design: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

This is a closed session for Graduate students from both the Vancouver and Okanagan Schools.

The seminar program will welcome from UBC’s Equity and Inclusion Office Tora Oliphant, Research and Evaluation Associate, and Hélène Frohard-Dourlen Educational Strategist.

Hélène (they/them; she/her) – supports organizational change and educational initiatives at UBC to shift the way that information systems and policies can reinforce inequities and exclusionary practices in the classroom and beyond. Their work has often focused on gender diversity and the experiences of trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary students, faculty and staff.

Tora (she/her) – supports all the data needs of the EIO, as well as requests for EDI related data from the rest of the university. Tora provides expertise in the collection, analysis and use of data related to diversity and inclusion at UBC with the goal of promoting evidence informed decision making around EDI.
