The 2nd Year and Transfer Student Welcome Event is an opportunity for students who completed their first year at UBC online to become more familiar with campus and student life. Participants will meet fellow students, explore campus, and learn about the many resources and opportunities available to them at UBC.
At this free event, you’ll have the chance to meet and build connections with other students. Together, you’ll explore the campus and learn about the Indigenous land on which UBC is situated. You will also find out about the many student resources, services, and involvement opportunities available to you as well as the best places to study, meet up with friends, and eat.
What to Expect
Group Meetup: Gather with your Orientation Leader and small group as you begin to get to know each other.
Your Campus Experience: Start exploring campus by walking around and learning about all UBC has to offer you, with particular information based on your stated interests.
After the 2nd Year and Transfer Student Welcome, you can continue to explore UBC through additional programming immediately after the event and on Tuesday, September 7th at Imagine Day, where you’ll be invited to check out the Main Event and Pep Rally.
