Understanding Feelings of Anxiety after an Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction; a Qualitative Study

You are being invited to take part in a research study being conducted by a team of researchers led by Dr. Jackie Whittaker at the University of British Columbia (UBC) for Co-Investigator Rosha Mehrad’s directed studies student project. This study is interested in understanding how people between the ages of 15-25 years who have had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear and reconstruction surgery may experience feelings of anxiety. We are also interested in what factors influence these feelings.

We are currently recruiting the final few participants needed to complete and publish the study, with the goal of helping shed more light on an important yet under-researched aspect of sports injury recovery.
