Embarking on the path to graduation is a unique and personal journey, and we are here to guide you through the process of obtaining your BKIN degree. Taking an active role in meeting all the requirements is key to making this journey a success. If you are in your final year and looking forward to crossing the stage and receiving your diploma, make sure to formally apply for graduation. Don’t forget to complete all the necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition to the next chapter of your life.
Application
There are two graduation periods at UBC – May and November. BKIN students that complete their degree requirements in the Winter session are eligible to apply for graduation each May. Students completing their degree requirements in the Summer session are eligible to apply for graduation each November. In order to graduate, you will need to submit a formal online application for graduation by the necessary deadline – normally several months prior to the graduation period.
Steps for applying to graduate, including deadlines and convocation timelines, can be found on the Student Services website. Enrolment Services will send an email to all registered 4th Year students in the month of January for potential May and November graduates. It is your responsibility to ensure that Enrolment Services has updated contact information on file.
