Destination Rio, KIN Pedometer Challenge:
Faculty and staff within the School of Kinesiology have embarked on an 8-week virtual trek from UBC Vancouver, home of the 2010 Winter games, to Rio de Janeiro, home of this year’s celebration. The total distance is 11,220 km ( 6970 mi)! Participants have been provided with pedometers and a “step-log” to track their weekly totals. For activities that are not easily tracked we have provided tabulations for standard step equivalents.
You are invited to follow our journey.
