BC Wheelchair Sports
BC Wheelchair Sports Association (BCWSA) is a multi-sport Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) that supports people with physical disabilities across the province to lead active and healthy lives through wheelchair sports. BC Wheelchair Sports facilitates programs for three sports: Wheelchair Tennis, Wheelchair Rugby, and Wheelchair Athletics (track and field). Within our sports, we work with various levels of athletes, from grassroots level to high performance athletes. We also host various inclusive programs and events through our Bridging the Gap Program, including our GO Time Girls Only Programming and Annual Junior Wheelchair Multi-Sport Camps. BCWSA also hosts large-scale international tournaments such as our International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, and Vancouver International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.
BC Wheelchair Basketball society (BCWBS) is focused on delivering programs and services that strength sport from the grassroots level to high performance athletes. Founded in 1983, we are the provincials port organization responsible for the delivery of the sport in B.C. BCWBS also facilitates an initiative called Let’s Play. Let's Play is an initiative that gives children with physical disabilities in British Columbia access to a sport wheelchair and other resources so they can develop the skills they need to confidently participate in play, sport and physical education with their peers. We also host various inclusive programs and events through the Bridging the Gap Program, including our GO Time Girls Only Programming and Annual Junior Wheelchair Multi-Sport Camps.
Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP)
The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) is a national voluntary organization composed of professionals interested and involved in the scientific study of exercise physiology, exercise biochemistry, fitness, and health. CSEP is the resource for translating advances in exercise science research into the promotion of fitness, performance, and health outcomes for Canadians. CSEP sets the highest standards for qualified exercise professionals through evidence-based practice and certification. You could become a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer™, CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist™; as well as obtain one of our new specializations including the CSEP High Performance Specialization™.
UBC Active Kids
The Active Kids Program is an Outreach program of the UBC School of Kinesiology. We provide recreational gymnastics, sport, and physical activity classes to individuals and communities of all ages and levels of ability. Our philosophy emphasizes fun, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, organized, safe, purposeful, and active movement experiences. We encourage physical literacy development and sport-specific skill acquisition, and promote lifelong participation in physical activity.

Richmond Parks and Rec
The Recreation Department works in partnership with local associations, volunteer organizations and special interest groups to provide recreation and cultural opportunities city wide through a variety of facilities, including eight community centres, arenas and aquatic centres, fitness centres, and the Richmond Nature Park. The Department is divided into the following sections: Arenas, Aquatics & Fitness Sports & Community Events Community Recreation Administration The City provides the buildings, maintenance and core staffing. The facilities are operated by the volunteers on boards of directors for the community associations. Responsibilities are defined in partnership agreements established between the City and the associations. The community associations work with individuals, groups and staff to determine and meet the recreation requirements of the general public and their various user groups. City staff act as liaison between the Associations, community groups and the City and provides support to groups to help them achieve their mandate.

BCIT Prosthetics and Orthodics Program
BCIT’s Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) Diploma is one of just two programs of its kind in Canada.
